SFCC Sketch Comedy training is for anyone, whether you're an actor, writer, or just someone looking to learn about an amazingly fun style of comedy and have a good time! You can choose to focus on whatever side of sketch comedy you're interested in (Acting or Writing) and take those particular classes or you can take both. It's really up to you.

Our Level I classes get you started with the basics so you don't need to have any training or experience before you start. Our instructors are veterans of sketch comedy and they will not only guide your class on its way to a fun, informative 5 weeks and a successful graduation performance, but they'll give you the personal attention you need to improve individually and reach your goals. As the levels go on, the training gets more focused, eventually teaming up the Level III actors and writers to form their own sketch comedy troupe!

So come join us at SFCC and, by the time you're done, your Mom might not be the only person quoting your catchphrase!

You are a well-oiled sketch comedy machine and now your only fate is to join forces with the rest of the SFCC sketch writers and actors and form a comedy 'Voltron' fueled by laughs and all night writing sessions. In Sketch Comedy III, you'll go through the entire process of putting on a sketch comedy show from writers pitching sketches to actors being cast in roles to rehearsing the entire show with costumes, props, lights and sound cues to performing the finished product in front of a paying audience. A guest director will be hired to oversee the entire production and he or she will work closely with the writing staff and acting company to put on a full fledged professional sketch show run in SFCC's main venue, The Clubhouse, over multiple weeks. The show will be a mixture of live and video material and the entire production will be filmed and edited together to create a press packet to submit to comedy festivals all over North America. The writers and actors will be evaluated at the end of the process and given the opportunity to form an SFCC house troupe with its own weekly or monthly slot at The Clubhouse.
